The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Vermeulen (GB), trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Ivan Grozny (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing very hard post race.

Ms Margaret Mullins, trainer of Martello Tower, reported to the Office of the Governing Bodies on 1st February that her charge was found to have a blood infection following examination post race.

A. McCurtin, rider of Flynnvincible (GB) trained by Edward Stanners, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made bad mistakes at the second and third hurdles and was pulled up.

D.J. Mullins, rider of Snugsborough Hall trained by Liam P. Cusack, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran too freely.

John J Fitzpatrick, rider of Fairwood Native trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly right and was pulled up.

M.A. Enright, rider of Black Zero trained by Michael J. McDonagh, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a mistake at the second last fence and never got going thereafter.

Sean O. O'Brien, trainer of Johnnys Edge, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge was found to have mucus on endoscopic examination post race
